Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic performances. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive training in singing. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. After relocating to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations in both teaching as well as a performer due to her love of music and art. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
