MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music is one of the biggest within his part of the Latin mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album climbed to number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. The year 2021 was the first time he performed in a duet with TINI to perform her stream track Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. His mother and brother also played the guitar. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and the ukulele, and piano. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his career.
